F1 Hoverpodracing (University Challenge)
The Challange has been set and the format for the racing been laid down in print. The Race is on at Long last.
The basic principle is simple. Firstly you have to be able to demonstrate a competative spirit to represent your University in the Challange of a lifetime, with the spirit of fair play from the start.
The intention of the race is to generate an activity for the Students to develop and encorage their own creative skills in which to design, build and finally race a Hoverpod in a two tier type race.
Race 1 is to represent your nation in the points accumilator event where all the points from the representative teams are totalled together. The intention and design of this event is to share and co-operate with your colleagues and team members in which to maximise your potential.
Race 2 is for "Pride of University" in which it is an individual race where winner takes all. This is expected to create and generate interpretation and modification of rules in order to once again maximise the Universities Skills and Techniques.

Please register your interest to become actively involved and participate in the event at the following e-mail address:

September 1 st 2009
What a month for the Brits.
Let me start by saying Congratulations to the England Cricket Team for the fantastic win with the Ashes . Well done Guys, you made all of us very proud. To all the Aussies who read with excitement our blogs, I feel sure you are licking your wounds but will soon seek revenge and take them back. Just understand that every now and again, we need to hold them to remind us it can be done if we only try harder.
My second congratulation is to Mike Perham who at the age of 17 sailed single handed round the world. What a trip of a lifetime and experience that I assume will stay with him for a long time to come.
My final congratulation is for someone from my home town “ Jessica Ennis ” who won the Gold in the Athletics. Fantastic and it does not get any better. We can’t wait for the Olympics, bring it on.
Now for the news at F1 Hoverpod® Racing of which when you read above, all seams rather humble in significance and comparison. However, many parts of F1HPR are now moving forward with a very positive attitude and outlook on the future. There are confirmed visits to some of our European Partners for September with regards to technology and support. The interest to which has been shown from two major continent nations are still on-going and as you would expect, I will confirm progress when we have the thumbs up to do so from our PR department. The build up for Autumn has now started with September now here.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement.
Team Manager.
